Liam J. Doyle
Writer/ Producer/ Director I’ve created award winning short films and music videos, produced on the Emmy Award winning show “Survivor” for CBS and was Beau Ryan’s producer on the Logie award winning “Footy Show” for 4 years for The Nine Network, amongst many others.
I started working with Darren as a passion project and soon discovered we shared many similar values and sensibilities, and not just with comedy. Like Darren I also grew up in the South of Sydney and we are both from South African decent. We started Tall Poppy Pictures together to develop the many ideas we both have and our work together continues to go from strength to strength.
I have produced & directed the 1Buck80 music videos and we are in the early stages of this exciting new creative partnership that has been the most rewarding of my career thus far.
We are both extremely passionate about our projects being created to maximise inclusion of all nationalities and diversities and our cast and crew are reflected accordingly.
Darren O’Shea
Writer/ Producer/ Actor I created the character 1Buck80 as a joke with my friends after encounters with so many people I grew up with in the South West of Sydney. I found myself writing parody songs and originals based on my everyday experiences. I then met Liam and teamed up to shoot our first music video, “Drifting in my Capella”. After getting over 3 million hits on YouTube we wrote more songs and shot more videos, now collectively totally over 5 million hits and counting. The videos have been particularly popular in the multicultural and car communities. Our videos also have cameos featuring Stephen Peacocke (Hercules), Luke Hemsworth (Thor Ragnarok & Westworld), Adam Demos (Unreal) and Charlotte Best (Tidelands). I’ve also started my own clothing and branding company DGS and have sold merchandise and Apps featured in our videos, direct to our fans.
